Robotic Procedures
Urologic Consultants of Southeastern Pennsylvania offers cutting-edge treatments that use robotic technology to assist physicians with minimally invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Jaffe specializes in robotic prostatectomy, which uses a robot to help physicians see a patient's internal structure more clearly and maneuver dexterous robotic "hands." This results in smaller incisions, more accurate movements, and more precise "nerve-sparing surgery," which decreases the time that a patient has post-operative incontinence and erectile dysfunction. The robot cannot make decisions independently; every surgical action is performed only with the surgeon's use of the hand devices. Robotic procedures typically result in faster recovery times than traditional surgery.
Reconstructive Surgery
Urologic Consultants of Southeastern Pennsylvania acts as a regional referral center for reconstructive surgery, providing area patients with excellent care. Our skilled physicians specialize in complex reconstructive urologic procedures, including the management of urethral stricture, post-prostatectomy incontinence, and Peyronie's disease.
In addition, we are recognized as experts in minimally invasive urologic laparoscopic procedures, including:
- Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (removal of tumor while preserving most of the kidney)
- Cryoablation of renal tumors (application of cold temperatures to destroy tumors in the kidney)
- Laparoscopic pyeloplasties (treatment for UBJ obstruction)
