![]() Reconstructive Urology A regional referral center for reconstructive urology has been created by Michael J. Metro, MD upon his arrival in 2002. Dr. Metro completed fellowship training in Traumatic and Reconstructive Urology under the direction of Jack W. McAninch at the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital after completing his residency in 2001 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Metro has extensive experience in the treatment of urethral stricture disease, all aspects of reconstructive urology, Peyronie's disease, the surgical and non-surgical treatment of male and female incontinence. The definitive treatment of male urethral stricture disease has gravitated to centers of excellence and less than 1% of urologists in the US do more than 11 urethroplasties a year. Dr. Metro has done more than 50 a year for the past 5 years and has become the referral urologists for this disease in the Delaware Valley and beyond. He has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings on his area of expertise. |
